Dromex® Nomex, flame resistant balaclava is made from DuPont engineered Nomex knitted yarn, provides users with dependable, neck, face and head protection against the hazards of a fire. Worn with an SCBA mask in firefighting applications and against arc flash, used in conjunction with a face shield, while working on energized equipment, along with other PPE (personal protective equipment) used widely in the petrochemical, chemical and utility industries. Comfort and fit are an essential part of fire safety making the NOMEX® knitted balaclava ideal, that is comfortable, lightweight and with wicking finishes improves breathability. Fires are unpredictable and situations can change in an instant with temperatures reaching 1038°C (1900°F), exposing workers to serious injury.
